Mija is a short film about the complicated relationship between an immigrant mother, Antonia, and her U.S.-born daughter, Yesenia. It follows Yesenia as Antonia tries to re-connect with her, but due to an already existing divide, Yesenia does not reciprocate. Things start to shift after Yesenia has a conversation with her friend Fernanda that allows her perspective to change.
